Travel to Armenia
Armenia’s geographical location is very convenient for connections with all of the countries in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and the CIS. There are a number of international airlines landing in Yerevan. One can use the flights from Beirut, Istanbul, Kiev, Moscow, Odessa, Paris, Prague, Rome, St. Petersburg, Tel Aviv, Vienna, Warsaw, and others, as well as numerous connecting flights through Moscow, Vienna, and Prague. Given that the prices of the tickets may be higher when buying from outside, the organizers offer a possibility to book and/or purchase tickets for the IAU S304 participants. For this, please contact LOC after your main registration, when arranging the practical matters of your travel.
The international airport is Zvartnots, situated 11.8 km southwest from Yerevan.
Visas

You are strongly advised to contact the nearest Armenian Consulate or Embassy to inquire about visa regulations for your country. You should make your visa application well in advance. Besides, LOC can send on request official letters of invitation to all participants to help for getting visas.

There are 3 ways to get Armenian Visa
| 1. By applying to the nearest Armenian Embassy/Consulate | |
| For all nationalities, it is possible to obtain your visa in advance by applying to the nearest Armenian Embassy/Consulate in your or neighboring countries. | |
| 2. By Electronic online application | |
| The citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc. who wish to apply for a visa with duration of 120 days or less is eligible to apply for a visa online. Applicants should have a passport that is valid for at least six months before expiration.
An electronic visa is equivalent to a conventional visa but no paper is inserted in your passport. Applications may be submitted online, verified online and in most cases, e-visas will be approved and issued online within two business days. Visitors who obtain an electronic visa will be able to enter Armenia via the Zvartnots International Airport, Gyumri Airport, Ayrum Railway Station, and Bagratashen, Bavra, Gogavan and Meghri land borders. |

| 3. Upon arrival to Armenia on the border | |
| In border-control points only 3-day Transit visas and 21/120 days Visitor visas are issued. No letter of invitation is needed. Foreigners who can travel to Armenia only upon invitation cannot obtain Armenian visa upon arrival. | |
