Research fields: my research interests include the study of large-scale magnetic fields in our Galaxy and Metagalaxy, the distribution of interstellar matter in our Galaxy, the mechanisms of magnetic field formation in galaxies, and the role of large-scale magnetic fields in extragalactic radio sources
Participation in projects: Armenian-French collaboration "Jumelage", "PICS" program (1997-2009), NATO Collaborative Linkage Grant “The structure of the Galactic magnetic field” (2002), Armenian Team Leader of the INTAS program "Interstellar scintillation as a powerful tool for the study of radio sources and the interstellar environment” (2001-2004), ANSEF grant 04-ps-astroth-812-73 “The distribution of free electrons in the Galaxy” (2004), ANSEF grant 05-ps-astroth-715-20 "Three-dimensional structure of the galaxy's magnetic field" (2005), ANSEF grant “The differences in the morphology and physical properties in parent galaxies of nearby extragalactic radio sources and other elliptical galaxies of the same luminosities and red shifts from the field” (2011), Ambartsumian research grant "Multiwavelength investigation of different type radio galaxies.
