YOUNG RESEARCHER’S CLUB
On April 13-14, NAS RA V. Ambartsumian Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory (BAO) hosted the second phase of "Young Researcher’s Club" teacher training.
About 20 school teachers from Aragatsotn, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, Syunik, Shirak, Tavush provinces and Yerevan participated in the program.
The training covered the following:
- running a young researcher's club, i. e. how to start, what to pay attention to
- presentation of Astronomy, Physics, Chemistry through experiments and games
- a tour in the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory.
It should be noted that the project is implemented by the Armenian Astronomical Society and “Under the Common Sky” Polish NGO.
Among the trainers were Marta Skrzipovska, Ewelina Grądzka (Poland), Marine Chelidze, Natella Bagratishvili, Nato Samkharadze (Georgia).
Within 2 academic years the clubs of all the schools will organize meetings. At the end of 2018/2019 academic year each school will hold an event to share their knowledge and new methodology.
